Well much of the same fun stuff keeps happening each day. Yesterday and today, I go to school, get touched and hugged by many students, get frustrated at the naughty kids, play and sing with the younger ones, spend the evenings with my friends, talking, eating and enjoying the beautiful language that is English. And as always, surprises arise every day. Today's surprise is that all day tomorrow is Mother's Day celebrations so I get to come to work just to witness the festivities. Yesterday I found out that one of my American teachers is coming to visit tonight! So fun!
Yesterday I also had another rehearsal. I forget how good it is to sing with people, especially when you don't focus on being perfect but just have fun and enjoy the music. And a few of our songs are close to performance ready. We really do sound good. Though I had a period of five minutes where I could not breathe because there is nothing like a tall, white English man with a fake Jamaican accent singing. And after singing we watched some British magician for an hour (via youtube).
One thing that has made me exhausted this week is the number of times I have sung and danced the Hokey Pokey. Hours. Hours and hours of Hokey Pokey.
Another random thing, I am getting traditional clothes (for real this time), in three hours. I apparently need to wear them tomorrow for the celebrations.
Well I think that is all I have for now. I am sure this weekend will be a blast with an extra day off, celebrations and friends. For now I need to nap before doing another hour of the Hokey Pokey.
