Burgers and Dancing

Well, as usual, I have had a few days of relative calm. My Sunday actually ended up being mostly at home. I spent a few hours at a restaurant called New York that is run by a German man. I even had my first cheeseburger since coming to Thailand. I am helping a friend of mine plan a burger party in two weeks. Just think, my first all day barbeque/grill out and I get to have both my farang friends from Uttaradit and my American farang friends as well. I know it is going to be tons of fun. And I found barbeque sauce. Legit barbeque sauce. Of course, it is at a Chinese shop, because where else would you find it?

Yesterday I started reading some of the books sent to me from America to my classes. This is going to be slow going, with each class only getting through 4 to 5 pages an hour. I never realized how difficult pre-teen books could be. Then I had my dance class yesterday. My Thailand dance shoes work beautifully, though they are a pain to get on or off. You would think the buckle would tie the shoe to your foot, but no, there is a latch that wraps around the buckle. But either way, it is much easier to dance in proper footwear. I think my students are coming along nicely, though my class has gotten a little smaller. I think some of them are still afraid of touching each other.

In other news, I have another gig on Thursday and this time people are invited to come. This time one of you guys can us the tambourine. That is all I have for now. It looks to be a pretty busy week, but hopefully I can manage some down time in all of this. I really do need to catch up on some sleep!
