Got a Price?

Well I made it through all the crazy yesterday. Not too much excitement, just normal teaching (and I define normal in terms of Thailand normal). My Prat. 5s really made me proud. I gave them some letters and saw how many words they could make from them. 41 words. :-) Then Little Casanova, also known as Jojo to his friends, said something yesterday that actually made me excuse myself from class and burst out laughing in the hallway. "Got a price?" Yeaaaah. Obviously he needs more positive influences.

Today the only noteworthy things are that I saw a pregnant woman drive a motorcycle. Through the school, like in the hallway. Not surprised. And then I decided to try a burrito today. Totally a crepe. Oh, yesterday I got a present from one of my Prat. 1s. He is the geeky best friend of my shadow. He traveled to another province over the holidays and brought me back a bobble-head sheep. I am keeping it for all time. And I hugged the child, making him the second Thai person I have hugged. The first was my teacher who bought me the fireworks. So there is my daily dose of sweetness.

Now the big excitement is that tomorrow night is my gig. We picked seven of our best songs and will perform those. I could care less about performing in front of others but just singing, especially with other people, is wonderful. Making beautiful music lifts the spirits. Now I just hope my laundry lady freaking brings my clothes back. I understand that this weekend was a holiday but you have had my clothes for over a week. Give them back!
