Farang fun!

My, my, my time sure passes quickly these days! Last night was such fun. There is something so satisfying about singing Fat Bottomed Girls in a bar by the river in Thailand with a British guy and his hilarious impression of an American Southerner. I nearly cracked up twice during out performance, but managed to reign it in at just a smile, rather than a full stream of laughter like in our rehearsal. And it always rains on our performance nights! Which meant we only had a few friends come. (Most people drive motorbikes. When it rains, most people stay put.) This means that no professional pictures this time, sorry.

This time we got to sing in a glass technology room instead of outside, so that was really cool. And the band that normally plays joined in on a few songs. It was really an experience to treasure. And true to myself, we just sang and enjoyed ourselves, rather than worrying about notes and such. The other mic died so we were sharing a mic. Then my tablet froze, which meant two songs improv before it was back up and working. Technology, man! But it was still tons of fun. After I came down from my performance high I was a walking zombie. Good grief, I never get sleep!!!! Though I can't complain because I love hanging with my friends. But it does mean Saturday morning is going to be spent in bed. Every last wonderful minute of it.

Well I just found out I really can't draw a horse. Oh the things you learn as a teacher lol. But I make a mean stick figure horse lol. Next week is English Camp and I am sure that is going to produce a lot of stories. Every school in Thailand is mandated to have an English Camp. So we are going to a resort down south for 3 days. Not sure to what to expect, so I guess I am ready for anything. Then after that we have the farang barbeque/giant sleepover. The Americans and the English farang finally agreed on a breakfast that morning. A "proper" English breakfast along with biscuits and gravy. So much excitement next week. Now I just have to sleep up for it lol. More later :-)

Well I am having trouble coming up with a name for my blog post but while I was contemplating, the farang that worked in my position two years ago just showed up in our office. So much excitement!!
