Enjoy the Music

Well I have a gig tonight. Spent all last night practicing. As in, from after school until 1am lol. We went from 6 songs to 11 and my partner said our rehearsal sounded better than our last performance. Who knows. I was about to say that today is the one counts, but I take that back. Today is going to be how today will be, and I might as well have fun with it. I think that was the difference in yesterday's practice. I found myself almost dancing in my seat, just sincerely enjoying singing and playing and I plan to do the same tonight. I am looking forward to seeing my friends in the audience and I know they are going to clap themselves silly, hoot and holler, clap and sing. Shoot, I wouldn't be surprised if they got up and started dancing even though this is a bar, not a club. Hahaha! I am going to have a good night! I promise, pictures will come. Though today I am resting my voice. I was really sounding like a frog by the time rehearsal ended yesterday, though my friend was kind and said I sounded like a good frog. Thanks lol.

One thing I know for sure, it is both a good and bad thing a majority of my classes this morning are in the morning. After lunch my day becomes muuuuch more relaxed but at the same time, I am still not awake, though I am sucking a Big Gulp of Coke. Instant coffee is not up my alley this morning. And I have my babies today. That means laughter and smiles, but also a lot of energy. I guess two hours of Humpty Dumpty is a great warm up for my gig tonight. They honestly love that song here; they think it is super funny and my students love acting it out. Then today I have soccer practice after school. I have compromised and wear a long skirt during practice but wearing shorts underneath it. The parents quit looking at me like I am the Devil reincarnated then, even if it ridiculous to play soccer in a long skirt. And my bobble headed sheep is not only bobbing its head yes, but it is bobbing in time to the music I am listening to. Got to love fans and gifts from children. Okay, well got to teach. And then nap. I have to have a nap today.
