WHHHHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTT?

WHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT? It is below 80 degrees. I do not believe it. I could wear my hair down to school today for the first time ever. Though with the rain, I am not sure if my soccer class will still happen. It would probably be better if it didn't for my feet's sake but today was going to mostly be having the little ones show off their skills and impress me so I can get a good idea of where they are at. I wonder if Mr. Little Casanova is good at soccer, the little heartbreaker. He did too well in my poise class.

Yesterday, my shadow was so sad when I left school to have lunch with my new friend. I was walking to the edge of campus when my shadow falls in step behind me. When I turn to greet her she points to me and my office. I shake my head and point to the edge of campus. She shakes her head and again points to my office. When I once again point to the edge of campus she pouts and turns straight around and walks away. Poor thing was upset that I was not spending lunch with her.

My little amusements from yesterday include a child writing blood instead of flood when we were learning weather. Then, my Kindle amused me last night. I am quite pleased and amused with what Kindle recommends I read. It has The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, War and Peace, Deliver Me, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Oz, Plato and the complete Anne of Green Gables series. Good job Kindle, very good job.

Also, I have another knew friend. Born in Thailand, grew up in Ireland. He is a friend of my companion, though now that I think about that statement something does not match up. Boys and girls cannot be friends here and I have met my companion's boyfriend......hrrrrrmmmm. Maybe he is just a casual acquaintance. Either way, he is another English speaker and apparently lives nearby. I am having dinner with him. Looks like I am going to be educated about Ireland :-)

Oh, and I learned my lesson yesterday. Never again will I read someone's doctoral thesis without getting paid. Especially if they are an electrical engineer. And ESL. It is just a bad combo all around. I found out that my Cameroonian friends do it as well but they get paid and for once I completely agree on that one. I never liked physics and circuits is lumped in with that.

And finally, I now worship both dishwashers and washing machines. Yep, last night was dishes and laundry night. The good thing is that I know my fabrics are not getting stretched, torn and damaged in a washing machine. The bad thing is leaning over a bucket in your bathroom washing what seems like a never ending pile of laundry. This morning was supposed to be sheet, pillowcase and blanket washing day (you wash it in the morning and then hang it outside and it dries before it is time to go to bed). When I woke up 30 minutes earlier than usual to do said chore my body did not put up a fight. It just said 'Nope' and I just laid in bed relaxing for 30 minutes playing with my tablet before getting up. It was actually a really nice way to start my morning. Turns out if I had washed my bedding I would have been screwed because it is raining today and my stuff would not have dried. So my laziness this morning saved me this time but I know next time to check the weather before tossing everything in the washing bucket.

Okay, well time for me to grade more stacks of paper. Putting it off just makes the next day more miserable. To work! And Happy 4th of July!
