No Surprises Today

Well today and yesterday were extremely calm compared to the previous...well since I got to Thailand. I have been moved to my apartment and mostly stay in bed. My fellow teachers are bringing me food and I am sleeping and reading. I really like reading for fun and it is nice to do it without a voice in the back of my head telling me there are other things I should be doing. I leave for Bangkok tonight and am excited to see all my fellow teachers tomorrow and get hugs.

My injuries are healing pretty well, though I am noticing more bruises the more I look. I am also starting to realize that my foot will most likely scar. Hopefully not, but I am not sure how my luck is on that one. If it does scar, I will have lovely tales to tell when I am older and people ask how I got that scar. I really wish they would just let me go barefoot. They insist that I wear shoes, even though they just barely fit over my swollen and injured foot. I can walk/hobble better without shoes as well. Stairs pose a pretty good obstacle still. So far I have not fallen from the step in my bathroom but I have learned that it poses a challenge. I am trying to figure out how much time to allot for getting down the four flights of stairs in my apartment to go to Bangkok tonight. If no one is around I might try to take as many of them sitting down as I can. They really disapprove of me doing that here but it is faster, has less danger of falling and is less painful.

That is all I have. Mephistopheles has eaten two of the largest spiders in my bathroom, which is both great and sad. And here is me hoping that it will be a very calm weekend in Bangkok. Lol even just writing that makes me laugh.
