Vacation Continued

So Tuesday morning I wake up and get ready for a fun day. My friends all had to teach since their break is different from mine. My goal for the day was to get lost. Yep. And in my friend's opinion, I was way too excited for this. For breakfast, I went across the street and had the best Pad Ka Pow Kai I have had in all of Thailand, and that is saying something. Then my friends had to go to work so I had the morning to myself. For a lot of it, I relaxed, read a book and calmed down from my adventures the previous day. Then, one of my friends came in from out of town. I underestimated the distance of walking by a great deal, to pick her up. Then of course, we get very lost. The funny thing about all this is that the goal of the day was to get very lost and see what we find. However, we did not mean to get lost right off the bat.

The best part about getting lost is what you discover. We discovered how close our place was to the river. We actually ended up finding our way back completely by accident. I look around and just notice we are at the entrance. How cool is that? After taking two hours to get back, we ditched our stuff and decided to go to a nearby park. We walked it once, looked at each other, decided we liked the weather, the view and the exercise so ended up walking the park three times.

After our adventures, we retired to the air con and watched part of a movie while my Lampang friends finished up teaching. Then their boss invited us to a nice dinner. It was great food and we got to talk to some students from the international school in Lampang.  Coming home from dinner was another adventure in getting lost. Very lost. In the boondocks lost. This was when I was crying and gasping with laughter. And we were singing. Hilarity just ensues when I hang out with my friends.
